Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a fun, community-focused Independence Day celebration on Longboat Key at Bicentennial Park! The festivities kick off with the beloved Shortest Parade in America, followed by the crowd-favorite Hot Diggity Dog Contest. Enjoy a full morning of family-friendly fun including games, crafts, a dunk tank, petting zoo, face painting, Chucko-the-Clown, patriotic music, and a beautiful butterfly release hosted by the Longboat Key Garden Club. Food and refreshments will be available. This cherished Longboat Key tradition brings neighbors, members, and visitors together to honor our nation and celebrate our close-knit community. Come dressed in your most patriotic red, white, and blue!
