Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a fun, community-focused Independence Day celebration on Longboat Key at Bicentennial Park! The festivities kick off with the beloved Shortest Parade in America, followed by a special Bicentennial Park re-dedication ceremony and the crowd-favorite Hot Diggity Dog costume contest. Enjoy a full morning of family-friendly fun including games, crafts, a dunk tank, petting zoo, Chucko-the-Clown, patriotic music, and a beautiful butterfly release hosted by the Longboat Key Garden Club. This cherished Longboat Key tradition brings neighbors, members, and visitors together to honor our nation and celebrate our close-knit community. Come dressed in your most patriotic red, white, and blue!
